SVF Midland's music is set in a large open grassed arena area, with great views of the stage from all over the site. Folding chairs, picnic blankets, etc, are fine to bring, but we would politely ask that they're located further back, for safety reasons, as nearer to the front of the stage is where people stand closer together. 

Food & Drink

There'll be a varied range of food traders with all kinds of food available, including vegetarian and vegan options, and all at competitive prices. With a range of bars at the site, with competitive drink prices and lots of bar staff to make sure you're not queuing, we want you to have a great time without making a hole in your wallet!

Campers can bring personal food and drink onto the site for consumption by campers, in the camp site only.

You may bring limited food and soft drink into the music entertainment area, when you arrive, for personal consumption only. A small food picnic in a small bag or rucksack is allowed, (no large bags, holdalls or cool boxes), plus one 500ml plastic, sealed and previously unopened bottle of soft drink or water per person, is permitted. However, your own alcohol may not be consumed in the designated entertainment area due to licensing restrictions.

Free drinking water will be provided so you can bring in an empty reusable plastic or aluminium bottle for refills.

NO GLASS or metal utensils are allowed anywhere on site due to Health & Safety restrictions.

Are dogs allowed?

Dogs are welcome in the music arena and, if you are camping, in the camp sites, but must be kept on a lead at all times, with any fouling picked up and disposed of in the appropriate disposal points provided. If your dog shows any signs of distress when near the music area, please remove them for their welfare.

Parking

There is a free parking area for non-campers, just a short walk from the music arena area, as shown on the map opposite, which will be signposted, and a drop off point will be available there for taxi/lifts to pick up/drop off.

The free car parking area is also the closest parking available for our disabled guests but is a short walk on a level pathway to the music area.

There will be a small multi seater vehicle running throughout each day, between the blue campsite and music arena, for any of our guests with mobility issues unable to walk between the sites.

ITEMS PROHIBITED FROM THE EVENT

Items Prohibited from all Areas of the Event:
Aerosols over 500ml, Air horns, Fireworks, Flares, Glass of any sort, Illegal Substances, Drugs, "Legal Highs" (as covered by PS16 Legislation or as otherwise determined by Security, including, for clarification, Nitrous Oxide), Unidentified Substances, Any Other Illegal Item, Laser Equipment, Laser Pens, Megaphones or any other item designed specifically to amplify sound, Chinese Lanterns or similar items, Petrol Burners, Sound Systems or Other Speakers, Tabards or other items of high visibility.
 
Items Prohibited from the Arena but Permitted within the Campsite:
Bags larger than an A4 size, Bags or other Carriage Items which cannot be fully searched or split to allow searching, Alcohol of any kind, Camping Equipment including any type of cooking equipment, Any drink in a container capable of holding more than 500ml or any drink where the seal applied by the manufacturer has been broken.
 
Right to Refuse Possession:
The organisers of Stone Valley Festival, in line with their belief that safety of the overall event and it's attendees should be prioritised above the convenience or wishes of any one person, reserve the right for any representative, including but not limited to any authorised security personnel, to refuse permission to any person access to the event or any area within that event while in possession of any item which they or their representative deem to be unsafe, undesirable or unwelcome in any way.  The decision of Management in this respect is final and there is no recourse, other than the consumers' statutory rights, which are respected throughout.

Information for our Disabled Guests

It is very important to the organisers, that we ensure that the event is accessible as possible, to everyone, and all aspects of accessibility are reviewed regularly, to ensure improvements can be made, where required, on an ongoing basis. This includes the availability of accessible disabled parking, wheelchair access, disabled toilets, and a wheelchair viewing platform for the main stage.

We strive to do all we can to make Stone Valley Festivals as accessible as possible. As with any outdoor event, weather conditions and uneven ground in parts, on a grassed site, need to be taken into consideration, when using a wheelchair or mobility scooter, and for wet weather conditions, suitable clothing, footwear, etc, is recommended.

There will also be a dedicated main stage viewing area for wheelchair users to view the event, though it does have a limited capacity and will be on a first come, first served basis, exclusively for wheelchair users and one companion.

To obtain access to these facilities, you will need to contact our team via the Contact Page to ask for an Accessibility Questionnaire which is used to help determine exactly which areas are needed to enhance your experience. 

Any person with additional needs who requires a free ticket for a carer or assistant, can email Stone Valley Festival via our Contact Page or at info@stonevalleyfestival.co.uk where we will make provision for this directly.

Security

There will be full 24 hour security on site throughout the weekend.

Day Visitors
Friday Access: 3pm – 11pm
Saturday and Sunday Access: 11.00am – 11pm

 

Campers*

  • Early Thursday 20th June 2024 Arrival Access: 5pm -9pm. Thursday free early arrival is for live-in vehicle and tent camping (does not include Glamping early arrival, which has normal arrival times from Friday 10am onwards)
  • Friday Access: 8am - 8pm
  • Saturday Access: 8am - 8pm
  • Sunday Access: 8am - 8pm

The Camp Sites close at 2pm on Monday 24th June 2024

* The above times are for vehicle access in order to enter the site and set up your camping pitch. If you cannot access camping between these times just email us and we will make special arrangements for you to come in at a time convenient to you.

VIP Arena Enclosure

Arena VIP gives access to an extra special area with an indoor seated area and private bar within a dressed, luxury marquee with VIP 'posh' toilets.

Throughout the day, DJs will keep you entertained with a break in luxury, from the main stage. Outside, a garden with outdoor furniture, manned fire pits, and a new covered area for 2024 to protect against the elements will be available throughout the weekend.  Please note Arena VIP is an upgrade ticket and you must also have an existing Admission Ticket.

Directions from the M1

M1 from the North:

Leave M1 at jct 31. Take 1st exit onto A57, Worksop Road. Continue on A57 for 13 miles (you actually reach A1 at this point) but take 3rd exit onto Blyth Road A614. Continue on A614 for 3.7 miles, and you reach a roundabout. Take the 3rd exit onto Netherfield Lane. After 0.7 miles you reach Stone Valley Midlands.

M1 from the South:

Leave M1 at junction 25. Take the 3rd exit onto A52 towards Nottingham. Follow A52 for 5.4 miles until you reach GMC Roundabout. Take the 1st exit (left) signposted Ring Road, Mansfield A6514 (A60). After 4.6 miles you reach a set of traffic lights. Left is signposted Mansfield A60, Worksop (A614), Doncaster (A1). Take this left onto A60. After 2 miles you'll reach a roundabout signposted Mansfield A60 (left) or Doncaster A614 (A1). Take the Doncaster A614 turn (straight ahead on signpost). Follow A614 North for 16.6 miles until you reach a roundabout signposted (left) Thoresby, Gleadthorpe. Take this left. After 0.7 miles you reach Stone Valley Midlands.

Directions from the A1

A1 from the North:

Leave the A1 at the junction for Worksop, Sheffield A57 - Nottingham, Ollerton A614 - Babworth B6420. Take the 3rd exit at the roundabout, crossing over the A1 to another roundabout. Take the 1st exit onto A614 (Nottingham, Ollerton), also Clumber Park, Sherwood Forest Visitor Centre and Rufford. Follow the A614 for 3.7 miles until you reach a roundabout which is signposted "Thoresby Hall Museum and Courtyard" to the right. Take the 3rd exit onto Netherfield Lane. After 0.7 miles you reach Stone Valley Midlands.

A1 from the South:

When you come to an exit signposted "Retford, Ollerton B6387 - Gamston 1 Walesby 4 - Gamston Airport", take this exit. Stay on the B6387 for 1.7 miles until you see a signpost for a turning to the right to a place called Bothamsall, on a left hand bend. Take the turn to Bothamsall. Follow this road through the village of Bothamsall. You'll come to a roundabout after about a mile and a half signposted (straight ahead) Thoresby, Gleadthorpe. Go straight on over the roundabout. After 0.7 miles you reach Stone Valley Midlands.

SVF's Midlands site has everything you could wish for at a festival and we know you'll love it! The picturesque rural setting of Thoresby Park is completely safe and secure, with all camp sites and parking within easy walking distance of the main music arena. Easily accessed from all major driving routes this is the home of our new Midlands Festival.
